Die 30. European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS) besitzt das Thema ‚New Horizons in Digitally United Societies‘ und findet 2022 in Rumänien statt.
Die jährlich stattfindende European Conference on Information Systems ist die wohl bedeutendste und größte wissenschaftliche Konferenz für das breite Themengebiet der Wirtschaftsinformatik auf europäischer Ebene. Sie ist eine Regionalkonferenz der globalen Association for Information Systems (AIS).
Die Wirtschaftsinformatik unterliegt als gestaltungsorientierte Disziplin extrem kurzen Innovationszyklen. Wissenschaftliche Konferenzen ermöglichen die zeitnahe Evaluation, Veröffentlichung und Diskussion aktueller Forschungsergebnisse. Als einschlägige Plattformen für den Austausch innerhalb einer Fachgemeinschaft sind sie unerlässlich. Die dafür notwendige (strenge) Qualitätssicherung wird durch ein doppelt blindes Begutachtungsverfahren (double-blind peer-review) sichergestellt. Prof. Dr. Dirk Kalmring hat bereits zahlreiche wissenschaftliche Gutachten für namhafte nationale wie internationale Fachzeitschriften und Konferenzen erstellt und unterstützt die wissenschaftliche Gemeinschaft auch im Rahmen der ECIS 2022.
Gastgeber der 30. ECIS ist Timisoara (Temeswar bzw. Temeschburg) im westlichen Rumänien. Die Konferenz findet vom 18. bis 24. Juni 2022 statt und bildet die neuesten Entwicklungen der Wirtschaftsinformatik u.a. in 25 (oftmals mehrtägigen) thematischen Tracks ab:
